A cold plunge with a chiller is a real appliance: it holds near-freezing water on demand, and it draws power to do it. The right one for you depends less on the tub and more on the chiller, how cold it gets, how fast, how loud, and what it costs to run. Here are the four we'd buy, and the one honest question to answer before you spend $5,000.

Before you buy: the chiller is the cost
A chiller runs a compressor to pull heat out of the water and then to hold it there around the clock. Two consequences worth knowing:
- It costs to run. Roughly 1-1.5 kWh while cooling, about $20-50 a month for most people. Plunging more often barely moves it; the cost is in keeping the water cold, not your time in it. Run your numbers.
- It makes noise, and needs upkeep. Expect window-AC levels of hum when cooling, plus ozone or filter maintenance. Cheap chest-freezer conversions and no-name Amazon chillers are where the horror stories live, we don't recommend them.

Buy it if, you want tub, chiller and filtration in one box at a mid price, and can live with an inflatable-style tub.
Watch out, inflatable tubs are less durable long-term than a rigid shell.
